Over the years, there had been 16 generous endowments from the Ateneo Alumni Scholars Association (AASA). The AASA has been actively coordinating alumni scholars and seeking donations. Each year, support coming from our alumni scholars have been continuously growing.
AASA envisions itself as a community of scholars who actively support scholars. Through every amount in the piggy banks of alumni scholars, we continue to build funds and provide the gift of an Ateneo education to deserving scholars.
In May 2007, the first AASA endowment worth P2.4 million was awarded. This generous endowment was named after Fr. William H. Kreutz S.J., the founder of the AASA.
In June 2009, a P1.2 million endowment was awarded for the naming rights of the Ateneo Scholarship Foundation in the University Dormitory.
In March 2011, three endowments were awarded. The first of which is a P2.5 million worth endowment named after former university president, Fr. Bienvenido F. Nebres, S.J.
Another endowment worth P2.5 million was named after Fr. Thomas B. Steinbugler, S.J. – remembered as one of the pioneers of the Ateneo College Scholarship Program in the 1960’s.
A third endowment was named after Fr. Nemesio S. Que S.J. worth P2.5million.
In March 2015 an endowment was named after Fr. Antonio S. Samson S.J., president of the Ateneo de Davao University.
