A volunteer alumnus/alumna scholar who is eligible to become a mentor will be matched to 1 or 2 AASA Scholars. Scholars and mentors are usually matched based on their course, gender, etc. The number of scholars matched to a mentor will depend on the mentor’s preference.

A mentor needs to be willing to share his/her time, expertise, and to extend care to his/her assigned AASA scholar/s. He/She will be asked to:

1.) Regularly (at least once a month) meet with the assigned scholar/s
2.) Listen to their concern/s
3.) Advise and guide them
